Darrvin now makes it easy for our customers to maintain and recycle Darrvin Li-Ion Batteries. Our Customer Subscription Package, at a modest fee, allows us to refurbish old batteries and prolong its operational lifespan, keep batteries out of landfills but also help reduce mining of precious and other metals. In exchange, our customers never have to worry about battery life or replacing batteries at a huge cost to themselves.

Join our Ecomiles Electric Bicycle Expedition into the Richtersveld scheduled for August 2022
The Richtersveld is a desert landscape characterized by rugged ravines and high mountains, situated in the north-western corner of South Africa’s Northern Cape province. It is full of changing scenery from flat, sandy, coastal plains, to craggy sharp mountains of volcanic rock and the lushness of the Orange River, which forms the border with neighboring Namibia. The area ranges in altitude from sea level, to 1,377 m (4,518 ft) at Cornellberg. Located in the north-eastern side of the Northern Cape province in South Africa, the Richtersveld is regarded as the only arid biodiversity hotspot on earth and the majority of the area is inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List due to its cultural values.
When: 06 to 13 August 2022.
Start Point: Springbok.
Start Time: 16.00. (4pm)
End Point : Vioolsdrif.
Distance: 350km with approx. 1025m climb.
Cost: R6000 per person, includes 7 nights’ accommodation (camp sites only, bring your own tent or at additional, optional cost, rent a cabin) and permits; excludes bicycles, food (bring your own), etc.

Beneficiary: Due to COVID lock-downs during 2020 and 2021, SANParks is facing a number of challenges to maintain National Parks infrastructure and staff compliment in order to give the best service to visitors. SANParks rely on their SANParks Honorary Rangers partners to support them in this endeavor. All Ecomiles contributions will be for the HR to distribute to where it’s needed most.
We have a passion for nature and our Ecomiles Program was established to support nature conservation projects in the geographical areas where we trade. Darrvin pledges a share of all profits (a percentage on every bicycle sale) for nature conservation initiatives and through our Ecomiles Electric Bicycle Expeditions offering, aim to raise awareness and additional funding and sponsorship for worthy initiatives.
Join our Ecomiles USA Tour on the Southern Tier scheduled for April 2023
The directors of Darrvin will host a guided cycle tour for investors between 15 April and 30 May from San Diego California, covering 1000+ miles through the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Louisiana with a final stop and stay at the French Corner of New Orleans. Detailed travel itinerary available by 15 October 2022. Darrvin will supply all equipment, planning, accommodation along the route for an all expenses covered tour. Guests only cover airfare to Los Angeles. * Darrvin picks up all expenses, including return flights to LA at the conclusion of the tour.
* Only applies where guests invested $20,000 USD or more. For smaller investment contributions, guest will cover own accommodation, food and domestic flights at a cost of $2000 USD.

My next car is an e-bike
When we compared the life cycle of each travel mode, taking into account the carbon generated by making the vehicle, fueling it, and disposing of it, we found that emissions from cycling can be more than 30 times lower for each trip than driving a fossil fuel car, and about ten times lower than driving an electric one.
Food for thought: My Next Car is an E-bike.
E-bike Battery Recycling - A local Darrvin Electric Initiative
We love to recycle and encourage our customers to return old batteries or replacement batteries to us for recycling. Never throw your battery away. When your lithium batteries eventually finish their lifespan, contact us to arrange for a pick-up, or bring it in to us. We are in the process of establishing various drop-off points to make it easier for our customers (and anyone who wished to dispose of an old Lithium Ion battery), with two new sites in SA, Knysna and Johannesburg, in addition to our Paarden Eiland premises, The Commuter Clubhouse. Description: Secondary roads, forest track, gravel all the way, with some heavy climbing and fast downhill, through lush indigenous forest, majestic vistas. Toilet and water point halfway. Stop in at the Big Tree at Diepwalle. Three to four hour ride. You should be riding regularly for this ride. That said, with regular stops along the way to catch your breath, it doesn’t have to be strenuous.
